Artist Statement
As an artist, my goal is to capture the unique essence of each person I paint. As well, I bring their personality, emotions and expressions alive through portraiture.
Margaret Wilson is a NYC-based artist who has studied visual art since early adolescence. Beginning her studies in graphite, then moving on to mediums such as woodworking, acrylic, oil, and oil pastel, she eventually found a spark of interest in painting with ink. She continues to hone her skills in portrait art, using the people in her life as inspiration for new works.
