Small Oddity: Digital Gifs

Artist Statement

In my work, I aim to combine mundane visual elements in order to create surreal scenes from their juxtaposition. By altering elements such as scale and color, I transform everyday objects into micro-moments of magical realism. I begin with analog methods, such as pen and paper, in order to preserve the initial intimacy of the process, but my work is ultimately digital. Through faded colors and soft textures, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity within a small window of nostalgia.
