Artist Statement

My drawings incorporate various combinations of paper, crayon, watercolor, ink, and digital embellishments using the Procreate app. Some are all digital. Whatever I’m working on, my goal is to make it new.

The drawings presented here are inspired by such artists as Grace Hartigan, Jiri Kolar, Robert Pollard, and Don Van Vliet—all artists whose work motivates me to keep the sense of playfulness I find mostly missing in this world.

I have no formal visual art training. I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I’ve enjoyed making them.
